Mathematical & Scientific Computing Software - An environment for developing numerical computation programs and producing publication-quality documents with equations, graphs, and tables. Includes a program editor, a debugger, a scientific word processor, an equation editor, and a powerful high-level programming language that supports multidimensional arrays, complex numbers, and user-defined functions.

PLAPACK - A parallel linear algebra package from the University of Texas at Austin. It performs vector and matrix manipulations, with a high level of abstraction.

Online Curve Plotter - Java Applet based online Curve Plotting program for analyzing explicit functions[Y=F(X)] and plotting curve using it.

MathResources, Inc. - Makers of MathResource, the interactive version of The HarperCollins Dictionary of Mathematics by Borowski & Borwein, MathPoints, and MRI Graphing Calculator.

TableCurve 3D - TableCurve 3D combines a powerful surface fitter with the ability to find the ideal equation to describe three dimensional empirical data.

Yacas Computer Algebra System - Acronym for Yet Another Computer Algebra System, an open-source software package. Supports arbitrary precision arithmetic, matrices, and differential and integral calculus.

VisualMath For Java - An online symbolic math and computer algebra system.

DESCHALL - The first crack of a DES-encrypted message. Includes articles describing the effort, some source code, and archives of the mailing list. Covers all ranges of technical expertise.

The Cipher Challenge Home Page - Ten separate messages encrypted using a series of different codes and ciphers. Each of the ten messages contains a code word, and the first person to crack all ten stages and send in all ten code words will win a prize of 10,000.

Onion Routing - The Onion Routing research project is building an Internet-based system that strongly resists traffic analysis, eavesdropping, and other attacks both by outsiders (e.g. Internet routers) and insiders (Onion Routers themselves). It prevents the transport medium from knowing who is communicating with whom -- the network knows only that communication is taking place. In addition, the content of the communication is hidden from eavesdroppers up to the point where the traffic leaves the OR network.

Mathematics software links and computer research resources are provided as a public service and we make no warranties on their use.
